Varney is an attorney at law, admitted to practice law in Washington, District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court. He is the Managing Attorney at Taylor Law Firm in Washington, DC.
Nirmal Ravi - Secretary
Ravi, MD/PhD has worked in global public health since 2005. He has worked with various international organizations such as The Carter Center, WHO and PATH and is currently directing the establishment of a primary care clinic network in Northern Nigeria that combines affordability and quality
James Balz - Member
James MD/FACS is surgeon with 20 years private practice in Oregon. He served in the Navy for six years teaching surgery, and as the attending surgeon for two fleets. He worked with MSF for several years, including in Monrovia
John Berestecky - Member
John is a professor of microbiology at the University of Hawaii Kapiolani Community College. He has a long association with Liberia, working as a microbiologist in the Peace Corp, working at the Liberian Institute for Biomedical Research, and since 2013 has worked part time as a visiting professor with the University of Liberia Biology Department
Kate Fernandez - Member
Kate has worked in malaria research labs for several years and is currently working at the Victorian Department of Health in Melbourne, Australia in the COVID-19 response
Ann Marie Kimball - Member
Ann Marie is a physician and epidemiologist. A strategic adviser for Rockefeller Foundation, she served as technical and strategic lead for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation surveillance strategy formation, and as a senior program officer with the foundation. She served as professor of epidemiology at the University of Washington School of Public Health where she is now emerita. Dr Kimball founded and directed the APEC Emerging Infections Network, and led research and training programs in Peru and Thailand. She is a fellow in the American College of Preventive Medicine and member of the National Biosurveillance Advisory group, Centers for Disease Control
Rachel Lewis - Member
Rachel holds an MA in International Development and MBA in Consumer Marketing. She has several years experience in the nonprofit sector prior to her current position in corporate consumer marketing. She is currently a brand manager at King Arthur Flour an employee-owned, B Corps based in Vermont

Gary Myers MD/MPH/FACS trained as a vascular and general surgeon devoted exclusively to international medicine 2002 to 2013. He worked for four years for the Swiss Section of Doctors Without Borders. He has had four working missions to Liberia as a surgeon and two trips to Monrovia as an instructor at A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine

Jack was a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English in Liberia (1962-64) He was a Peace Corps administrator in Sierra Leone and Fiji, followed by a career as a public administrator in environmental protection in Ohio and Kentucky for many years
